Lopetegui's men face their first outing in front of the home faithful this term in a game that marks the 60th anniversary of the club's third European Cup triumph (9pm CEST, Realmadrid TV).
Following on from their US tour, this Saturday sees Real Madrid face their final run-out before the start of the season proper. The 39th edition of the Santiago Bernabéu Trophy, a date firmly earmarked in the club's calendar, serves up a meeting of the European Cup's two most decorated sides: Madrid's new Julen Lopetegui-led project comes up against a historic opponent in the form of no other than AC Milan (9pm CEST; Realmadrid TV).

The game will serve as a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the 1958 European Cup showpiece, in which the Whites overcame tonight's opponents at Brussels' Heysel Stadium on 28 May to claim the club's third continental crownDi StéfanoRial and Gentowho struck an extra-time winner, were on target as the club continued to cement its legacy in the competition.

Real Madrid have lifted the last 12 editions of the Santiago Bernabéu Trophy.

This year's opponents are AC Milan, a club which has seven European Cup crowns to its name. The Italians, who are managed by former player Genaro Gattuso, are currently fine-tuning their preparations ahead of the Serie A campaign, which kicks off on 19 August. Tonight's encounter will see the Milan outfit contest the Santiago Bernabéu Trophy for a fourth time, with the visitors having lifted the trophy in 1988 and 1990.

On a roll
Real Madrid, who tonight face their first outing of the season in front of the home supporters, have secured the last 12 editions of the competition. The latest of these successes came last summer against Fiorentina. With the UEFA Super Cup just around the corner, Lopetegui's men will here bring the curtain down on what has been a demanding pre-season campaign, in which the side have offered a fine account of themselves in their meetings with Manchester United, Juventus and Roma.

The game will be broadcast live on Realmadrid TV, Realmadrid.com, Realmadrid App, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Tencent.
