NEWS | 31/07/2018The act took place at Universidad del Valle de México Campus Coyoacán.
Accompanied by the Dean of the Universidad del Valle de México, Bernardo González-Aréchiga, Emilio Butragueño, had the following to say to the graduates and their loved ones: “Today is an important day in your lives, lives that will forever be united by Real Madrid, you can all be proud of yourselves, as your friends and families are”.
“The sports industry is undergoing a huge transformation and we wanted to share our experience and knowledge with those who wish to be future leaders. Over the last 12 years, we’ve made it to 12 countries, helping 10 500 students to get their degree, most of them are now in positions of great responsability in prestigious sporting institutions”.
“We can now see the success of the academic programme and we feel proud; one of the key factors in our school is the international spirit. I would like to remind you that when this project started in 2006, the Universidad del Valle de México was our first collaborator. Mexico, in 2007, was the first country to get on board with our project and share in our vision. Since then, our relationship has been very stable and the two institutions have gone from strength to strength together”.
Example of success
“Many of you know what this experience means, you came to Madrid and got to see the facilities at Real Madrid, such as the Santiago Bernabéu and Real Madrid City. You enjoyed meeting the professionals who work at the club and those who work at the sporting high court, those who no doubt helped you become professionals in your field”.
“Firstly, never stop developing yourselves. Even though this is your graduation, your development is just beginning. Development is for life, you must work on it day after day, year after year. Secondly, never give up, keep following your dreams until you reach them, believer in yourselves because this is the best thing you can do. Lastly, let your beliefs guide you. Look at which beliefs matter the most and let them help you make the best decisions”.
