Kovacic racks up 100th Real Madrid appearance

The midfielder brought up his century against Juventus in Turin.
Mateo Kovacic has now made his 100th appearance for Real Madrid. The midfielder, who made his competitive debut for the Whites on 23 August 2015 against Sporting in a 0-0 draw, reached the landmark figure in the trip to Juventus. The Croatian has chalked up the century of appearances in his third season at the club, during which time he has been involved in 73 wins and has netted three goals.

His appearances have come across six competitions: LaLiga (67), the Champions League (18), the Copa del Rey (10), the Club World Cup (two), the Spanish Super Cup (two) and the UEFA Super Cup (one). In his maiden campaign at the club he amassed 34 appearances, whilst last term he featured in 39 games and so far this season he has been involved in 27 games. Kovacic is enjoying a really successful spell at the club, which has yielded eight pieces of silverware and notably two Champions League crowns.
