NEWS | 01/11/2017 | Javier García (Londres)“Real Madrid always bounce back and I'm sure we'll see the team we saw in Cardiff come back”, said Modric.
“We can't play great all the time, we have to change things and admit we're not where we wanted to be, but we must stay calm. I don't think things are too bad, I don't think the team is playing that badly, so we have to keep the faith. We've got to stay positive, because it's the end the counts, not the beginning”.
Support for his teammates
“It's normal when you're losing and things aren't going the way you want. You have to support your teammates. It was a real blow to lose 3-1 today, and in my opinion it's not a fair reflection of what happened on the pitch, because their first goal was offside. It was the same in Girona, their second goal was offside. They're things out of our control, but what we can control is our attitude, run hard, battle, and that's not been lacking in either of the last two games”.
"When you don’t win people look for faults. I'm not like that, I talk with my teammates to their face. The team is confident, we know that we’re having a bad run, but things will change".
Modric: "We must keep going and look for answers"
"Tottenham deserved to win and we must move forward and try to find solutions to get out of this run. It's not nice but we've been like this before and we've always come out of these situations. I'm sure we'll do it again".
"It is not a physical or mental problem because we’re physically in good shape. The biggest problem is how we’re playing, we’re not playing like we can and as we have done for a long time. We have to do everything possible to re-find our style of play. We’ve not played how we'd like and we'll have to find out why that is".
"We must stick together and not think that it’s such a big disaster. Losing when playing for Real Madrid is harder than with any other team, but we are used to it and I am sure we’ll come out of this run. It's not nice but we'll sort it out".
"This defeat hurts us and especially after how we played. We can’t be happy but football can be like this and these things happen. Last season we went through spells like this and we always came back to be the Real Madrid that everyone knows. Real Madrid always bounce back and I'm sure that the team we saw in Cardiff and the beginning of this season will return. I don’t see why the Real Madrid of last season will not come back".
