“Individual elements can make a difference but it’s always the team that’s going to take us to victory”, he added.
Zidane spoke to the press after the win over Getafe. The coach, who oversaw his 100th game in charge of Real Madrid, had the following to say: “we started well, made chances and went in the break at 1-0. In the first 10 or 15 minutes of the second half we cooled off a bit but rounded the game off with character, getting the win and the three points. The game was good but not perfect. We're happy with the result, let's see if we can catch the others. It was a deserved win and that's that”.

“It was 90 minutes and we knew we could score whenever. The first ten minutes of the second half were tough but we coped. Isco did great and came up with the assist. We weren't as tight in the second half. We changed our tack and found that hole for Isco to set up Cristiano Ronaldo's first goal this year”.

After the international break, where many players played key games and some of them stayed here and trained. We knew we needed everyone and they all played well. Karim and Marcelo played an hour more or less. Now we have a game every three days and we need all hands on deck”.

“He was vomiting this morning but didn’t have a fever. He's ok now but tired after that game”.

“Cristiano’s first goal was crucial. I’m thrilled with his goal and with Isco’s pass. I’m also pleased for Karim after such a long spell out and also to have Marcelo and Theo here. Slowly, we’ll keep getting all the players back”.

“We need everyone. We’ve got a lot of crucial players and every time they get an opportunity to play, they all do a fantastic job. The team is the most important thing. Individual elements can make a difference but it’s always the team that’s going to take us to victory”.

Marcos Llorente and Achraf
“Achraf has real attacking potential and physically he’s got the ability to go forward, get back, defend and attack. He played a good time, as did Marcos as he always does. He’s been very disciplined and level-headed; he’s given the team defensive balance”.

“It was important to pick up the three points and then see what the others do. I’ll watch the game as a football fan”.
