“Self-determination will continue to set our course and we will work to strengthen our basketball team", said Florentino Pérez.The presentation of the agreement which saw the Universidad Europea becomes the main sponsor of the Real Madrid basketball team took place at midday in the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabéu. Florentino Perez, president of the club, spoke about the agreement: "This alliance is an honour for us and we will seek excellence every day. Real Madrid is very proud of what the basketball team has achieved in recent years. Self-determination will continue to set our course and we will work to strengthen our basketball team. Hence the importance of the strategic alliance with the Universidad Europea, who become the new main sponsor of Real Madrid".
"We are very happy because since 2006 we have maintained a relationship based on the loyalty and common values that have allowed us to make the Real Madrid Graduate School - Universidad Europea a model of success and prestige. We thank you for your confidence in our basketball team".

The CEO Laureate Spain was next to take the floor to show his thanks for Real Madrid: "It’s an honour to be here at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to present this very important agreement. Two institutions that have been travel companions for more than 10 years with a unique project. Real Madrid is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious institutions in the world and the benchmark of brands in Spain. It's a club of legends that doesn’t need a presentation".

The presentation, which ended with a group photo, was also attended by Juan Carlos Sánchez-Lázaro, director of the basketball section; Alberto Herreros, technical director; Pablo Laso, first team coach; and the players available from the first team: Reyes, Rudy, Ayon, Thompkins, Causeur, Carroll, Taylor and Yusta, in addition to ex-players Emiliano Rodríguez, Clifford Luyk, Rullán and others.
