Real Madrid and Lai Sun Group presented their collaboration agreement

“Thanks to this agreement, we will be even closer to our fans in China”, said Butragueño.
The presidential box at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium hosted the presentation for the collaboration agreement between Real Madrid and Lai Sun Group. The event was attended by Emilio Butragueño, director of Institutional Relations of the club; José Ángel Sánchez, general director of the club; the former players Raúl González and Roberto Carlos; Peter Lam, president of Lai Sun Group; John Tse, director of the Novotown Project; Larry Leung, director of Business Development at Novotown Project; and Zhang Zhiyun, director general of the National Tourism Administration in China.
Butragueño said the agreement: "Our vocation is always to share the experience of belonging to this club. Today we are happy because we present an agreement that will allow us to be closer still to a great country like China, a place which we have had a great emotional bond with for a long time.

We have an emotional link with China and the madridistas have a special place in our hearts for this country.

"We are grateful to the Lai Sun group because this agreement will make it possible for Real Madrid to be even closer to our fans in China, a country that we all have in our hearts".
"With this alliance we will be present in a large leisure and entertainment centre in China. Real Madrid will be the benchmark in the world of football thanks to this exciting project known as Novotown, where you can live the greatest interactive experiences in football thanks to the latest technologies. Visitors will be able to enjoy a Real Madrid museum with the history and legend of this club, with a merchandising shop and a restaurant area".
At the end of the event an exchange of gifts took place. Butragueño presented four Real Madrid shirts and a miniature replica of the stadium whilst Peter Lam returned the gesture giving two rooster statues.
