The European champions will play the third placed team from the Bundesliga, the Premier League runner-up and the Cypriot League champion.
Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and APOEL in the Group Stage of the Champions League after the draw held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The European Champions have been placed in Group H, next to the third placed team from the Bundesliga, the Premier League runner-up and the Cypriot League champion.
The Group Stage will start 13 September, welcoming APOEL to the Santiago Bernabéu. This season, the Olympic Stadium in Kiev will host the final, which will be played on May 26, 2018. Zinedine Zidane will look to continue making history and win his third consecutive Champions League, which would be the thirteenth European Cup for the Kings of Europe.

Borussia Dortmund
They have reached the Champions League this year after finishing third in the Bundesliga. Real Madrid have faced them 12 times, with a record for the Whites of four wins, five draws and three defeats. Both teams faced each other in the Group Stage last year.
Runners-up in the English league, Real Madrid are unbeaten in all four games played against the London team in European competition (three wins and a draw). The last match between the two teams was in the quarter-finals of the 2010/11 Champions League.
The Cypriot league champions have qualified for the Group Stage after three qualifying rounds. Beating Slavia Prague, Viitorul Constanta and Dudelange along the way. Real Madrid have won in their only two games against this team, in the quarter-finals of the 2011/12 Champions League.

Group B: Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Anderlecht and Celtic.
Group C: Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Roma and Qarabag.
Group D: Juventus, Barcelona, Olympiacos and Sporting de Portugal.

Group F: Shakhtar Donetsk, Manchester City, Napoli and Feyenoord.
Group G: Monaco, Porto, Beşiktaş and Leipzig.
Group H: Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and APOEL.
