Ronaldo becomes all-time leading goalscorer in European Cup semi-finals

NEWS | 03/05/2017

The Portuguese forward's treble against Atlético brought his tally to 13, which sees him surpass Alfredo Di Stéfano's 11-goal haul.
His sensational hat-trick against Atlético saw Cristiano Ronaldo become the most prolific goalscorer in European Cup semi-final history. The Portuguese striker now has 13 goals to his name, which exceeds the 11 scored by Alfredo Di Stéfano.

Ronaldo has struck 10 of these 13 strikes during his time at Real Madrid, with the remaining three coming during his spell at Manchester United. In addition to last night's treble against Atlético, Ronaldo claimed two braces against Bayern in the return legs of the 2011/12 and 2013/14 semi-finals, whist he notched a further strike in the first-leg meeting with Juventus in the 2014/15 campaign, before getting his name on the scoresheet in the return leg of the same tie. Ronaldo's tally is completed with the goal he scored in the first-leg encounter against Borussia Dortmund in the 2012/13 season.
