Juan Carlos Touriño, who played as a defender for Real Madrid between 1970 and 1976, has passed away aged 72. Born in Buenos Aires, Touriño joined the Whites from Argentine side Quilmes and went on to make 134 appearances as a madridista, lifting three league titles and two Spanish Cups during this time at the club.

His Real Madrid career saw him work under three iconic coaches in the shape of Miguel Muñoz, Luis Molowny and Miljan Miljanic. Touriño earned one international cap with Spain. Following his spell at Real Madrid, he returned to South American football. Real Madrid share in his family's pain and expresses its condolences at his passing.
