“I never thought I’d reach this milestone and I'm very happy; Now I have to go for another 100 and keep on winning games”, he explained.
The victory over Osasuna saw Nacho rack up his 100th appearance in a Real Madrid shirt. A product of the Whites' academy, the defender joined the Alevín side in 2001 and went on to made his first-team bow in the 6-3 triumph over Valencia at Mestalla on 23 April 2011.

After making the starting XI at El Sadar, Nacho expressed his delight at having reached this milestone: "I'm really happy. Never did I think that I'd make 100 appearances, now I have to go for another 100 and keep on winning games. We're happy because we knew it would be a tough game, which was exactly how it turned out and we're pleased to have got the three points".

"This season we're adjusting the way we play according to each game. We're all comfortable playing in whichever position the coach asks us to because we've got a great side and a variety of different players. It's true that the goals came when we adopted the other system, but we're happy and the important thing is that we got the win".

His first team debut came on the 23rd April 2011 at the Mestalla (3-6).

“Keylor is showing that he is the Real Madrid number one, which is not easy, and with each passing day he gets better and that is great for us”.
