“The most important thing is the group and our squad has got depth to it”, he declared in the press room.
Zinedine Zidane took to the press room at the Lerkendal Stadion after his side claimed victory to become the European Super Cup champions. The head coach - whose press conference was interrupted by several of his players who entered to celebrate the triumph - had words of praise for the Man of the Match: "A player like Sergio Ramos always makes the difference. I told him to push up a bit more towards the end and he was exactly where he needed to be".

"We've got a big enough squad, that's for sure. If we're not able to sign anyone we've got the numbers in the squad and there are four of five who weren't here today. We've got young players and others who've got the experience. The most important thing is the group and our squad has got depth to it".

"He put in a complete performance, it wasn't all about the goal, which in itself was fantastic. When you give a player confidence and they respond in the best possible way, we're all happy. For a final to be a good one you need two good sides and I'm pleased. He's going to remain here with us. He needs to play well and today he did just that".

"I had to name my starting XI. He joined up with us later and that was the decision I took. He didn't play the 90 minutes and that's the way it turned out. I'm happy with his performance, but compared to the other players he had fresher legs when he came on".
