The stadium where Real Madrid trained was built in 2008 and is located just a few short metres away from Montreal's Olympic Stadium.
Real Madrid completed their final training session in Canada at one of Montreal's leading sports arenas. Located just a few short metres away from the city's Olympic Stadium, the Whites trained at the Montreal Impact's home ground. Built in 2008, the construction of the arena marked a turning point in the history of sport in Quebec and represented a major step in terms of the promotion and development of football in the region. When initially opened, the stadium had a capacity for 13,034 spectators, but after the club joined MLS in 2012, its capacity was upped to 20,521.

"We're very pleased to be able to offer our faithful supporters front row seats at a world class footballing event like getting to see Real Madrid train. It's our way of thanking them for the tremendous support they've offered us so far this season", enthused the Montreal Impact's president, Joey Saputo.

Peculiar way goals are celebrated
The way in which the Montreal Impact's supporters housed in the south stand celebrate their side's goals can be best described as being rather peculiar. In a reference to the city's many churches and cathedrals, a large bell is rung to toast the Impact's goals.

The bell sounded on no less than five occasions just two days ago when the home side ran out 5-1 winners over the Philadelphia Union. Didier Drogba, who days earlier had paid the Real Madrid players a visit, put in a particularly impressive display, as he claimed his first hat-trick of the season.

Latest generation dressing room
The Montreal Impact's dressing room really does have it all, with facilities including a massive kitchen, a hydrotherapy pool, a room for stretcher beds, spacious showers and a large area for indoor training, which boasts several exercise bikes and other items of fitness equipment.
