NEWS | 25/01/2016The 24-year-old Brazilian is one of the Endesa League's most dominant centers.
Real Madrid have strengthened their inside play by signing one of the ACB's top talents. Lima is a player with a very bright future and who, at 24, is one of the best centers in the Endesa League. In addition, he knows the Spanish basketball scene very well, having come up through the ranks at Unicaja, for whom he made his debut during the 2009-10 season. Lima has also played for C. B. Granada and UCAM Murcia, where he was a star performer over the last few seasons.
On top form
Last season was when he really came to the fore, with 10.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and a PIR of 16.6 per game, which saw him recognised as the league's second best center. For a center he is very agile and is a natural rebounder. He finished top of the rebounds charts in the 2013-14 season and has averaged more than seven over the course of the last two years. Lima is very strong defensively, where he is an intimidating figure.
Under the rim
To these qualities, is to be added a real ability to finish off offensive plays under the opposition's basket, thanks to his physical power and his size. Last season Real Madrid's new signing was the second highest scorer of slam dunks in the Endesa League. Lima comes in to add further strength and versatility to the reigning European champion's inside play.
