A minute silence for Velázquez in the Santiago Bernabéu

The Santiago Bernabéu held a minute of silence this afternoon before the game between Real Madrid and Sporting de Gijón in memory of Manuel Velázquez, who played for the club beteen 1965 and 1977. The Real Madrid players also wore black arm bands and in the 10th minute a large banner with his image on was unveiled by the supporters stand reading: "Always our 10".
