"After going behind, the team knew how to react and we should focus on the positives", explained the captain.
The victory against Rayo meant more than just three points for Sergio Ramos. The captain recorded his 300th win with Real Madrid in his eleventh season with the team, during which time he has made 457 appearances and scored 56 goals. Of his 300 triumphs, 165 have come at the Bernabéu and 135 away from home. The Seville native spoke about reaching the milestone after the match: "This was my 300th win and getting another record will push me on to work even harder. Tomorrow I'll be looking for more".

"The game wasn't much of a contest after Rayo had two men sent off, but we have to remember that we still managed to score ten goals and the team now go into the Christmas break eager for more. Rayo are a side that play wonderful football".

Expectations
"We respect everyone's opinion, they went out to win and took the lead. After going behind, the team knew how to react and we should focus on the positives. Our fans demand the best of us so that we honour the club's history and badge; however, sometimes things don't come off as you'd like. We have to keep calm and see what happens at the end of the season".

We need to be united and find the balance in order to get to the end of the season in the best shape possible.

"It's a complicated situation. We aren't where we'd like to be and that's reflected in the mood of the fans. The supporters expect a lot from us, they always want the team to win but that can't always happen. We need to be united and find the balance in order to get to the end of the season in the best shape possible".

Win record
Ramos' 300 wins have come in La Liga (222), the Champions League (49), the Copa del Rey (24), the Spanish Super Cup (2), the Club World Cup (2) and the European Super Cup (1). So far this season, he has featured in 12 games, six of which have ended triumphantly.

His greatest season in terms of number of wins came in the 2011/12 campaign, when he recorded 41 victories from the 51 matches he played. During his ten years at the club, the Spanish centre back has won 1 Champions League, 1 Club World Cup, 1 European Super Cup, 3 La Liga titles, 2 Copa del Rey trophies and 2 Spanish Super Cups.
