Here's how the Whites beat Vasco da Gama to the trophy in 1998.
Raúl's wonder goal is the moment from Real Madrid's second Intercontinental Cup triumph that will live on forever in the memory of all Madridistas. The forward's effort won the game against Vasco da Gama seven minutes from time and handed the Whites the trophy for the first time in 38 years.

Real Madrid opened the scoring when Roberto Carlos sent in a powerful cross from the left and the unfortunate Nasa turned into his own net as he attempted to clear. In the second half, the Brazilians equalised through Juninho, but Raúl was on hand before the final whistle with a historic strike. His double piece of skill in the box left two defenders sprawling on the turf, and opened up the path for him to fire in the goal that would earn the club its second Intercontinental Cup.
