"I feel strong and confident", said Bale.
Lucas Vázquez, who scored his first competitive goal for Real Madrid against Real Sociedad, analysed his side's win after the final whistle at the Santiago Bernabéu: "We knew that La Real are a team who play good stuff and that it wouldn't be an easy game. We had to dig in a little bit, but the team showed character and commitment and I we have to be pleased with the win. These three points are going to help us a lot and now we go to Valencia all out for victory".
"The crowd are entitled to do as they see fit, whether that's applauding or whistling. If they feel it was best to whistle, we respect that. The coach is free to express his opinions just like the crowd, and you have to respect that. We focus on playing and winning games. We're right behind the coach and we work hard day in, day out to get wins on the board. My New Year's wish is for trophies, which is what we all want".
Opening his goal account
"I'm really happy with my first goal and hopefully it'll be the first of many. I'm happy to have scored and to have got the win. In a league season you have good and bad games, but the main thing is to get all three points. We have to keep on winning and pick up as many points as possible".

Gareth Bale: "I feel strong and confident"
"I feel strong and confident. I've come back stronger from injury and made a really good recovery. Against Valencia it'll be a really tough game and we're going to try to come away with three important points. I'd like to wish all the Madridistas a really Happy New Year".

Pepe: "The main thing was to get the win"
“The crowd got behind us. It's to be expected that they complained when we dropped our intensity a little bit in the second half, coinciding with Real Sociedad's goal. The fans call the shots and we respect that. It's down to us to play, do our job and honour the shirt that we pull on, so as to ensure we send the fans away happy. The main thing was to get the win. We're keeping on working hard and improving in every game".

Nacho: "The aim was to close out the year with a win".

"We're professionals, we have to deal with criticism. We get talked about a lot but we have to focus on doing our job well. Hopefully 2016 brings better fortunes and it's a good year for everyone. Every's opinions have to be respected. The coach has his, we have ours, the media have theirs... It's to be expected that the other teams are going to make life difficult for us, but if the team and the fans stick together we'll overcome any difficulty".
Hard work
"The president is in charge, followed by the coach, and it's down to us [players] to do our job. We have to respect their decisions. We're privileged to be able to pull on this shirt".

Nacho: "The team stood up to be counted in a difficult match"
"The aim was to close out the year with a win and we're happy. The team stood up to be counted in a difficult match, where there were testing moments. But in general we did well and now we have to keep on fighting. I'm sure that 2016 will be a great year for Real Madrid. My first New Year's wish is for a win at Mestalla and, beyond that, hopefully we can win plenty of silverware".
