The Real Madrid man scored six in game two against Barcelona, with 5/5 in the first quarter.
Sergio Llull put on a superb display in game two of the Endesa League finals against Barcelona. The competition's top shooting guard was to the fore for Real Madrid with 24 points, including 6 three-pointers in 8 attempts, with 5 from a possible 5 in a spectacular first quarter. What's more, his PIR of 31 is his best in the playoffs and the highest by a Madrid player in the finals since 1994.

Llull's 6/8 on three-pointers equals the second best tally in the history of the playoff finals, set by Barcelona's Xavi Fernández in 1996. The total is only beaten by Drazen Petrovic, who picked up 8/11 in game four of the 1989 finals. Having scored seven three-pointers against Herbalife Gran Canaria in game two of the quarter-finals, the man from Menorca is also the first player since Rakocevic in 2007 to claim six or more threes twice in the same edition of the playoffs.

Best ever PIR
Llull's prodigious displays are seeing him break record after record in the current playoffs. Against Herbalife Gran Canaria he set new personal bests on points (28) and three-pointers (7), while on Sunday his 24 points, 5 assists and 2 steals enabled him to surpass his highest ever PIR in the playoffs.

You have to go back to the 1994 finals, when Sabonis finished game five with a PIR of 37, to find a higher index rating by a Madrid player. In addition, Llull equalled his top PIR in an ACB match, which came against Alicante in the 2011-12 season.
