With 82 matches, he overtakes Michel Salgado and Iván Helguera.
Sergio Ramos was a starter against Juventus and reached 82 matches in the Champions League. The Andalusian defender moves to fifth on Real Madrid's all-time appearances list in Europe's elite club competition, having overtaken the tallies of Michel Salgado and Iván Helguera. Ramos only has Casillas (150 games), Raúl (130), Roberto Carlos (107) and Guti (97) ahead of him.

Ramos' Champions League debut came in September 2005 away to Olympique Lyonnais. Just a few matches later, the competition saw his first ever goal as a Madrid player, in a match at home to Olympiacos. His overall record in the tournament is 47 wins, 16 draws and 19 defeats, and he has scored 8 goals - one of which was his unforgettable header as the Whites won La Décima.
