Real Madrid the world's best club in 2014

They set a record in the International Federation of Football History and Statistic's (IFFHS) world ranking table with 381 points.
Real Madrid finished 2014 as the world's best club according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). The Whites smashed the record previously set in the club world ranking, which was established in 1991, with 381 points. Bayern Munich came second (276 points); Atlético de Madrid were third (267) and Barcelona fourth (251).

The IFFHS highlights the difference between the Madrid side and the second-placed team is more than 100 points. Behind Barcelona are Atlético Nacional de Medellín, the top ranked South American side, who finished ahead of Juventus, Arsenal, Napoli, River Plate and Salzburg, who made up the rest of the world's best clubs in 2014.
