AS's website had the headline "Munich burns, Lisbon awaits. A historic night for Madrid against Bayern, who they disarmed and hammered. Two headers from Ramos decided the tie and Cristiano sealed it with a double. A lesson in defensive order and counter attacking".
El Mundo said: “Real Madrid, at the doors of heaven. They sealed their win for the final in Lisbon with the European Cup's best ever first half display. They saw off the mighty Munich (0-4) with a double from Sergio Ramos and Cristiano, and humiliated Guardiola's Bayern who couldn't beat Casillas". El País spoke of the "historic exhibition of Madrid in Munich against the European champions".
Of other general newspapers, ABC's headline read: "Madrid burn Munich and will fight for the much-craved Décima". The subtitle said "terrific Whites' win at the Allianz Arena (0-4) thanks to two doubles from Ramos and Cristiano". La Razón said the exhibition was "a night for the history books".
The German newspapers also toasted to The Whites’ performance. Bild spoke of the battle between the coaches: "Ancelotti humilities Guardiola". The subtitle reads: "Shameful for Pep Guardiola! His side's performance in what was the semis of the Champions League was undignified"- Die Welt said it was a faultless display from Madrid: "Historic debacle against Real Madrid. The Spaniards were superior to Guardiola's side in all aspects".
Sport.de lead with: “Adiós bestia negra; Bayern KO against Real Madrid”. Meanwhile, Berliner Zeitung had: "Bayern overwhelmed by Madrid". Local Munich papers, like the Münchner Merkur spoke of The Whites’ superiority: "It's impossible against the white beasts".
Rest of Europe
In Italy, La Gazzeta dello Sport said that "Ancelotti humiliated Guardiola". The Guardian highlighted the goalscorers: "Ramos and Ronaldo push Madrid into the final". The Daily Mail said Madrid's players were "Spanish Giants", whilst the BBC spoke of "the goalfest in Munich".
In France, L'Equipe say that The Whites "left Bayern groggy and made it to the final. Real Madrid humiliated Bayern in then Allianz Arena". Portugal's A Bola said "Real Madrid win in Munich and seal their place in Lisbon".
The New York Times also spoke of The Whites’ win: "Real Madrid defeat Bayern in the Champions League semis". Olé in Argentina spoke of Di María, "An Argentine in the final". O Globo of Brazil wrote: "Real Madrid hammer Bayern and will play the final 12 years later".
