Liberbank, Real Madrid's new official bank from the 2020/21 season
The financial institution will become a club partner until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Liberbank, Spain's eighth listed bank and one of the 127 European entities under the supervision of the European Central Bank, is a bank specialising in retail banking (families and businesses), with a focus on mortgages, consumption and productive activity (freelancers, SMEs and other businesses). Based on its successes as the benchmark financial institution in Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura, in recent years it has evolved towards an "open bank" strategy, aiming to place its customers and their satisfaction at the centre of everything it does. To that end, it has undertaken a significant digital transformation over the last few years, as well as adapting its commercial network, which, alongside other improvements, has seen it become the leading Spanish national bank in terms of service quality, as recognised by the IQUOS index, attaining a ranking of 8.46, more than one point greater than the sector average (7.36 points).
Liberbank has advanced its customer services and growth capacity through a range of agreements with sector-leading partners ("open bank" concept) such as J.P. Morgan Asset Management (worldwide leader in long-term investments) and Sony Interactive Entertainment (owner of the PlayStation® brand).
