A European Cup and two league crowns

José Antonio Querejeta spent two seasons at Real Madrid. Measuring in at 2m, this forward with an eye for points checked in at the club from Baskonia in 1978. In his maiden year, he captured the league, before securing the European Cup (the Séptima) and league double in his second season.

He returned to the Vitoria-based team in 1980 and spent the rest of his career there. After his retirement, he occupied roles in management. He served as president of the Spanish Association of Basketball Players and is currently president of Baskonia and Alavés.
