The Real Madrid Foundation's socio-sporting school in Jamaica came about after the partnership signed in April 2010 with the Fundación España-Jamaica (Spain-Jamaica Foundation) and the school's activities are staged in Montego Bay.
The pupils are boys and girls aged between 6 and 13, who suffer from social exclusion and come from families with low socio-economic resources, whilst they are also exposed to crime and violence. The school offers a training programme on values through sport, and in particular through football, in line with the Real Madrid Foundation's methodology.
In addition to the sporting activities, the participants receive nutritional supplements, plus Spanish and reading classes, with a view to promoting good study habits amongst the children.
