Pau Quesada and Maëlle Lakrar spoke to the media ahead of PSG-Real Madrid, on matchday two of the Women's Champions League, which will be played at the PSG Campus (Thursday, 9 pm CEST). The coach had this to say: “It's a big match. Two very good teams face each other and this format allows you to see this kind of rivalry. We're very excited and ready to compete.”

“It's a team that's still developing and has been changing its playing style. It has many variations, but we have to stick to our game plan and build the Real Madrid we want to be: intense, aggressive and direct. When we play against big teams, we analyse them, but we have to play our game and be ourselves.”

Current form
“We've been working hard since the start of the pre-season and now we're seeing the results. We've got a fantastic group, with lots of quality and a great sense of responsibility. The team is improving all the time, regardless of the results. They deserve it for how much they're fighting. Tomorrow we're up against a great team and a good setting to continue with our ideas and our beliefs.”

On Olga Carmona
“PSG have 11 very good players that we're up against. Olga Carmona made history at our club and with the Spanish national team. We have to try to play our best game.”

Lakrar: “I have faith in the team”
“I know PSG very well. We know that they're a physically strong team with great quality. PSG have a lot of good players and it will be a difficult match but great to play in. I played with Olympique de Marseille many times against PSG, but that doesn't change the way I view the match. I'm going to play as I always do.”

On the team’s defence
“It's a team effort, from the forwards to the goalkeeper. We must continue like this. The trick to winning games is not to concede goals, and if we keep this up, we can win many. I have faith in the team. We've done well in recent games.”
