Bellingham: “It's always great to play a Clásico and even better to win”
"Our fans were unbelievable and took the game to another level", said the scorer of the winning goal.
Jude Bellingham spoke to Realmadrid TV following the win in the LaLiga Clásico. The Englishman, scorer of the winning goal in the 91st minute, said: "It was a brilliant win again, it was later than we expected, but it was a great game. Barcelona played very well and so did we. We were just missing that final touch when we were attacking and in the end we got it".
"We were all excellent and did a great job. It's not easy to play 120 minutes during the week and then another 90 today. My team-mates were fantastic and all credit to them".
Team unity
"When you can play with that mentality against two top teams and beat them both in a hard way, you can see the unity and mentality in this group. We must keep it up until the end of the season".
Move for the winning goal
"The build up to the goal was very good down the right wing, Lucas had an unbelievable game today and the cross was brilliant. I've not been as lucky in the last few games in the box, but the ball came to me today and I just had to put it in. It was great work by my team-mates to get me on the scoresheet".
On the road to the title
"This was another step towards our goal, we haven't won yet and we've got six games left to keep fighting and picking up points to get us closer to our goal."
What is a Clásico like at the Bernabéu?
"El Clásico is the most important game in world football. Everyone who watches it expects a top quality, intense game. And we had that today. The fans were unbelievable, taking the game to another level and it was a fantastic experience with the roof closed. It's always great to play a Clásico and even better to win".
Support from the fans
"Our fans were incredible, louder than the Barcelona fans and it made for a more exciting game. We had to match them with our performance and with the result. It's been a happy day for everyone".
