Real Madrid and its Foundation's Chairman, Florentino Pérez, along with Sergio Díaz-Granados, Executive Chairman of CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, have signed an agreement at Real Madrid City aimed at promoting sport, education and social support through the social sports schools run by the Foundation in Bolivia and Colombia.

The objective of this alliance is to run mixed activities that promote gender equality, the positive values of team sport, and in particular the integration of migrants and returning migrants. The Real Madrid Foundation 's social sports schools promote skills through education in the positive values of sport, like respect, teamwork, motivation, hard work and the spirit of self-improvement.

Sergio Díaz-Granados, CAF's Executive President, said: "Investments in sport are crucial for social integration and inclusion in Latin America and the Caribbean, as they connect children and young people with healthy lifestyles and with the values that we need more than ever today, such as solidarity, gender equality, the drive for self-improvement and respect. Our partnership with the Real Madrid Foundation allows us, using the best of football and basketball, to spread these values to more and more countries in the region".

Real Madrid's Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño was also present at the event alongside Florentino Pérez, who highlighted the collaboration between the two organisations: "We're delighted to be collaborating again with CAF in America, given that our first alliance was highly beneficial to thousands of children years ago and it will now improve the lives of more than 2,000 socially disadvantaged youngsters".
