Chus Mateo: “We've got an important game to climb up the league"
“We're hungry to keep winning games in the EuroLeague," added Garuba ahead of the clash with Alba Berlin.

Chus Mateo and Garuba spoke to Realmadrid TV on the day prior to the match against Alba Berlin on EuroLeague matchday 18 (Thursday,7:00pm CET). The coach reflected: “If we're able to come through it, this is a game that will give us a great boost in the table. We're really hungry to win it.”
"Alba Berlin is a team that plays without fear. Despite being towards the lower echelons of the table, they take a lot of shots early on in possession and play a high-risk game. They have the odd player that wasn't in the home game, like Matt Thomas, McCormack has strengthened, Procida looked good in Madrid… We have to be alert to their high pace and understand the how important the game is to us."
“Motivation is high. Not just to close out the year strongly, but it's about climbing the table and being ready to compete for titles in the crucial moments."
Garuba: “They'll be a tough opponent”
“We're hungry to keep winning games in the EuroLeague. We want to finish off the month as well as possible. We have to work as a team and keep playing to our strengths: intensity, defense, and the rest takes care of itself. We have a great opportunity to deliver a good performance."
“Alba Berlin play at a high pace, the same as we do. They play in a similar way to us, and their EuroLeague position doesn't reflect how well they've played in a lot for games. They'll be a tough opponent and we have to give it 100%."
