Chus Mateo: “I have a team of gladiators and together we'll go far”
“I'm sure it was an amazing game for the fans, people have had a great time," added the Real Madrid coach.

Chus Mateo assessed Real Madrid's eighth successive win as they got the better of Maccabi in a record-breaking matchup; “I'm sure it was an amazing game for the fans, people have had a great time, seeing so many baskets and such a frenetic pace. I would rather they'd scored fewer points. They are loaded with talent, they're very unpredictable at times. It was absolutely a must-win game for us. Sometimes your legs don't always respond and we were up against a different team today. I'm delighted with the win."
“We have to be focused on the next match: Oympiacos. They're an unbelievable team, they play some wonderful basketball. They're always up near the top but we'll battle hard. I have a team of gladiators who fight fiercely and together, like we are, we'll go far. Things were really tough at times today but they showed great self-respect and courage to win the game. We have shown we can come back, make it through difficult games and pick up victories, which is the key thing."
Praise for Ndiaye
“It was a very impressive defensive game from him. He scored his open shots as well, what more can I ask from a 20-year-old kid? He's performing brilliantly this year, and he's coming on leaps and bounds in every sense. He's been doing good things for a couple of years now: he's played in the starting five in two EuroLeague finals and he's building up that experience. He's turning into a really big player."
