Walter Tavares received the Euroleague MVP award for March and April from Felipe Reyes in the build-up to the Real Madrid-Bayern Munich game. The Cape Verdean centre led Real Madrid to six wins in seven games in the last month and a half of the regular season, averaging 16.7 points, with 77.4% accuracy in two-point shots and 75.9% from the free throw line; 7.1 rebounds and 0.9 blocks for a total of 21.3 in the PIR.

This is the fourth time that Tavares has been named MVP of the month in the Euroleague. He previously won the award in October 2018, November 2021 and April 2023, after leading Real Madrid to their eleventh European Cup. This season, the Real Madrid player was named MVP for round 12 thanks to his superb performance against Barcelona at the Palau with a rating of 39.

Second-best five
Tavares has also been included in the second-best five of the 2024/25 Euroleague. The centre averaged 10.6 points, with a 75.3% field goal percentage, 7.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 34 regular season games. Alongside him, Mike James, Juancho Hernangómez, Theo Maledon and Evan Fournier complete the five.
