One year on from clinching their first ever European CupReal Madrid's basketball team got their hands on their second continental crown. The victory came 59 years ago, in a two-legged finale against CSKA Moscow. Having lost the first game on the road 88-81, our team secured the title thanks to an impressive 76-62 win in the second leg, played in Madrid on 13 April 1965.

Despite the seven-point deficit heading into the deciding game, the madridistas showed their superiority throughout. Emiliano (24 points) and Luyk (18) spearheaded the win for Pedro Ferrándiz's team, in a season that also saw them lift the League title and the Copa. The success was also the first of four European Cups for the legendary coach on the Real Madrid bench.
