Garuba, 200 games for Real Madrid
The academy graduate reached this milestone against Baxi Manresa on league matchday four.
Usman Garuba played his 200th game for Real Madrid against Baxi Manresa. The power forward, who was one of the star players in the 87-75 victory, is in his fourth season with the first team, with whom he has won five titles: two leagues, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups. He was also named Best Young Player in the Endesa League and the Euroleague in the 2020/21 season.
The Madrid native joined the youth academy in 2013 and played in every age grade until 2019 (he was Spanish champion at the under-14, under-16 and under-18 levels, as well as winning two Minicups and the European Junior Cup in 2019). He made his debut in 2018 against San Pablo Burgos. After his stint in the NBA, he returned to Madrid two seasons ago. Garuba has played 200 games in: 105 in the League, 85 in the Euroleague, 4 in the Copa del Rey and 6 in the Spanish Super Cup.
