Description

This project is run by the Real Madrid Foundation's local on-site partner, the Rostov Technical University. The sporting activities, including both football and basketball, take place in the universities' facilities. The university has a fine international reputation and through its incorporation of a set of inherent sporting values, the establishment seeks to improve its educational infrastructure to achieve the full development of each of its students. This project is supported directly by the university rector.

In total, there are 119 participants involved in this programme, who include boys and girls aged between 6 and 17 who attend state schools in the state of Rostov and who find themselves in situations of social exclusion or in situations of social violence, living in extreme poverty, who belong to single-parent families, reside in orphanages or who have suffered the consequences of any sort of natural or industrial catastrophe (e.g. fires, floods, industrial accidents, etc.). All of the participants have a need to take part in social programmes which allow them to attend sporting facilities where the aim is to contribute to their social and personal development.
