Realmadrid TV tops themed channel rankings during win over Red Bull Salzburg

Real Madrid got the better of Red Bull Salzburg courtesy of a superb strike from Eden Hazard in the side's sixth outing of the pre-season campaign. The game, which was broadcast by Realmadrid TV, attracted 760,000 viewers and recorded a 9.1% share of the TV audience. These figures made the match the day's most-watch broadcast across all digital terrestrial television themed channels.

The broadcast was the third most popular choice during its broadcast window, coming in behind Telecinco and Antena 3. Zinedine Zidane's side's match in Austria ranked as the most-viewed encounter of the 2019 pre-season campaign and the most-watched programme aired by Realmadrid TV since the 2018 Santiago Bernabéu Trophy.

The peak viewing time came at 8:38pm (CET), with 913,000 viewers and 10.53% of the audience share. The total number of viewers who tuned in was 1,390,000.

Castilla's win over Alcorcón also attracted significant viewing figures. With viewers numbering 352,000, the pre-season match ranked as the second string's most-watched game in the channel's history. In addition, it became the day's most-watched sporting event, second only to the first team's fixture. A total of 986,000 viewers watched the game. With over a 1.9% share of the viewing audience during the course of the day, Realmadrid TV claimed its best audience share figures of the season.
