Toni Kroos chalked up his 50th Champions League appearance for Real Madrid in the side's away encounter against CSKA Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium. The German midfielder, who is now into his fifth season at the club, has three Champions League winners' medals to his name as a madridista, as well as one goal and six assists. During his Real Madrid career, he has played a key role in the middle third and holds the record for the most successfully completed passes in the competition.

In the 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 campaigns, the German international featured in the same number Champions League games: 12. So far this term, he has been involved in both of the team's continental fixtures.
