Results for the madridistas called up by their national teams

Ramos notched a brace in Spain's 3-3 draw in Russia, whilst Ceballos struck a hat-trick for the U21s in their 5-1 win.
Sergio Ramos, Nacho, Marco Asensio, Raphaël Varane, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Marcelo all featured in friendly games. Meanwhile, Modric and Achraf's national teams sealed their places at the World Cup. Elsewhere, Jesús Vallejo, Dani Ceballos and Borja Mayoral played their part in the Under-21s' win in the  2019 European Championship qualifier.

Asensio, Nacho and Ramos were all starters in the friendly against Russia. The captain struck two of the visitors' three goals as Spain were held to a draw, whilst the Whites' midfielder claimed the assist for the team's opener. In their first friendly outing, Spain thrashed Costa Rica at La Rosaleda (Málaga). Ramos and Isco made the starting line-up, whilst Nacho and Asensio entered the fray in the second half.

Didier Deschamps' men, with Varane in the starting XI, played out a draw aginst Germany in a friendly fixture ahead of the 2018 World Cup. In their first game, France overcame Wales in a friendly fixture in which the Whites' central defender didn't feature at all.

The Germans, with Kroos making the starting line-up, grabbed an injury-time equaliser against France in Cologne. Meanwhile, the Whites' midfielder played no part in Germany's first friendly outing in preparation for the World Cup in Russia, which ended in a goalless stalemate at Wembley.

Marcelo and Casemiro both started the game in London as Brazil and England served up a goalless draw. Prior to this game, the madridistas featured in Brazil's triumph over Japan in a friendly played in Lille.

Spain U-21s v Iceland U-21s (1-0)
Spain U-21s Slovakia U-21s (5-1)
Mayoral, Ceballos and Vallejo started the game against Slovakia and were instrumental as Albert Celades's side came from behind. Ceballos, who claimed a hat-trick, lead the way for Spain, whilst Mayoral completed the rout. The Madrid trio played their part in a fourth straight win for Spain U-21s in their Euro 2019 qualifying campaign.

Greece Croatia (0-0)
Croatia’s big win in the first leg of the play-offs was enough to see them through in Athens. After Modric was on target from the spot in the first game, his side went on to confirm their place at the World Cup in Russia.

Ivory Coast v Morocco (0-2)
Morocco made no mistake in their decisive clash against the Ivory Coast. Achraf played the full 90 minutes for his team as they took the away win to seal their place at the World Cup in Russia.
