NEWS | 14/11/2017 | Nacho Díaz

The Whites, who face three games in five days, will be looking to record another EuroLeague victory (8:30pm CET).
Real Madrid heads into the team's toughest week of November, which features an all-Spanish double-game week in the EuroLeague (Baskonia tonight followed by Unicaja on Thursday), before Saturday's league match-up against Real Betis. The Whites will be bidding to get back to winning ways at the Buesa Arena against a Baskonia team that is struggling at the start of this European campaign (only one win in the continental competition).

However, Pablo Laso's side are already well aware of just what a difficult place Vitoria is to go to, with the Whites' coach admitting in the build-up that  “it's always tough” . Madrid continue to boast good statistics after the first six rounds of the competition, with strong offensive numbers (86.7 points), which only slightly fall in road games (86). Indeed, the Whites are the competition's top scorers on their travels, alongside Maccabi.

The Whites have posted an average of 86 points on the road.

Yet again this week, Doncic is the man who leads the way in the individual stats, with 21.2 points and a PIR of 29.5. The Slovenian has posted double figures in each of his six EuroLeague games this season and tonight returns to the Buesa Arena, a setting where he last year conjured up a memorable play which put Madrid 71-79 up. That night also saw Randolph claim a personal record number of defensive rebounds (12) in the EuroLeague.

Change of coach
Baskonia is not having an easy start to the season. Prigioni began the campaign in charge, but he has since been replaced by Pedro Martínez and the side are 1-5 in Europe. However, there can be no doubt at all about the quality of the team's roster. Shengelia (13.8 points and 6.2 rebounds) is a powerful presence in the paint, where he may come up against the Whites' latest recruit, Tavares. Beaubois (13,6) and Granger (12) are the other two big players in the Vitoria-outfit's offensive game. This match-up represents another major test of Real Madrid's credentials.
