Laso: “It's always a difficult game in Vitoria”

“It's a week with a lot of competitive stress but the team looks good to me physically”, said the coach.
Pablo Laso analyzed the EuroLeague match on Realmadrid TV with the Whites coming up against Baskonia at the Buesa Arena (Tuesday, 8:30pm CET): "In Vitoria I always expect a difficult game. They’ve made some good signings again in the market and have very good players, of great quality in all positions. As things stand, we're going to take 14. It's a week with a lot of competitive stress and we want to have everyone ready at any time".

"Baskonia has two very solid guards in Huertas and Granger and they complement each other very well. They’ve got very good shooters in Timma and Beaubois, they’re solid with the three-pointers thanks to Garino. On top of that Shengelia is playing very well, he is one of the best players in Europe and they have a very solid inner game. Little by little, we’re beginning to see the influence of their new coach and for sure it’ll be a very difficult game".

The demanding fixture list
"We have three games in a week and five in 10 days. The trip to Tel Aviv, now to Baskonia, between them the match against Barcelona and on Saturday we travel to Sevilla...The team looks good to me physically. They are recovering well, but obviously victories give you a moral push although the result shouldn’t change our way of working. We’ve been very close to winning the last two games".

"We’re going to Vitoria, which is a very difficult court but what matters most to me is the feeling that we’re continuing to grow. We have players that we have just got back, one that has come in new. We know that we have to compete in every match despite having almost no time to adapt to these situations".
