First training session of derby week

The Real Madrid squad returned to training with an evening session which saw derby week get under way ahead of Saturday's clash at the Wanda Metropolitano (8:45pm CET). With the absences of the madridistascurrently away on international duty, Casilla, Theo, Carvajal, Llorente, Lucas Vázquez and Benzema trained alongside Castilla's Tejero, Manu Hernando, Dani Gómez, Cristo, Quezada, Feuillassier, Jaume, Óscar and Fidalgo, whilst Moha from the Under-19s also featured in the session.

The Whites took part in an intense workout featuring rondos, possession drills and several games in reduced spaces. Cristiano Ronaldo worked out indoors, whilst Isco was handed the day off by the coach. Elsewhere, Luca, Bale, Keylor Navas and Kovacic continued with their recovery programmes. The latter two did some running exercises alone out on the training pitches.

Zidane included nine Castilla players in the session.
