Members of the Real Madrid Los Angeles Supporters' Club, which was founded in 2011 and boasts over 1,000 members, today descended on the UCLA campus to watch Real Madrid's sixth day of training. Representatives from the supporters' group made the most of the fact that Zidane Zidane's side are in the Californian city to attend the session as they revelled in seeing their idols.
At the end of the session, there was an exchange of gifts between Enrique Sánchez, the secretary of the club's board of directors, who presented the president of the supporters' group, Stewart J. Wolfenson, with a Real Madrid shirt. In turn, Wolfenson gifted the club a book on the history of the group, after which he expressed his feeling to Realmadrid TV and Realmadrid.com: "We were raring to see the players at close quarters. We've been waiting for this moment since the announcement was made that the team would be coming to Los Angeles".
"We're delighted to be able to enjoy Real Madrid being here in Los Angeles. Seeing a player close up is what you've always wanted to do. We get together to watch the games on TV, but it's a bit different to be able to say that you've stood next to Sergio Ramos, Danilo, Lucas Vázquez…”.
