"We've got to recognise what we've achieved up until now", insisted the Whites' coach.

Pablo Laso took to the media room at the Sinam Ernem Dome at the conclusion of the match-up between Fenerbahçe and Real Madrid, where the Whites' coach reflected on the game in the following terms: "There's not a lot I can say. When you're competing at this level and get this far, you know that in order to win you have to play well. We failed to do so and that's why we lost. I got the impression that we were playing catch-up all game. I'm proud of the players, we give it our all, but it just wasn't our day".

"It wasn't our best performance, but that doesn't mean to say that I'm not proud of the hard work put in by the team throughout the whole season. Today we didn't play well, we knew that we'd need to put in a performance to beat Fenerbahçe and tonight we just didn't do that".

Llull
"At times, basketball is a tough on you. Fenerbahçe played a good game, they won and deservedly so. I think that Llull displayed real character throughout the match, just as he always does. However, we're a team and we need everyone to perform. Sergio showed determination but I'm concerned about how the team performed".

European campaign
"Not everything is lost after just one game. Real Madrid has had a great season in Europe, we were the champions of the Regular season. The standard of this competition is extremely high and we battled until the very last second. We've got to this point and reached a game in which we knew we'd have to play well to win and we haven't done that".

The league
"I think that as a team we've always shown ourselves to be capable of being even more united and improving when the going gets tough. We've got to recognise what we've achieved up until now and realise that we've still got the league, which is a very tough competition, to fight for. We were poor today, but tomorrow is a new day and another challenge awaits".
