Rubén Yáñez has made his official Real Madrid debut. He came on in place of Casilla with 76 on the clock and played the final minutes of the Copa Del Rey second-leg last-32 clash against Cultural Leonesa: "I'm really happy to have lived the dream of any young player, which is to make your debut with the best team in the world. I can't ask for any more. And the support of the fans gives you a lot of motivation".
"We knew we had to take this match seriously and not let the pace drop, because otherwise they could have hurt us. I'll take the shirt home with me and keep it in the house as a great memento".
The goalkeeper is currently in his second season with the first team, where he was part of the squad that won the Undécima and the third European Super Cup. He made three friendly appearances last summer.
