NEWS | 30/11/2016"It's a very difficult court and they're really great team, but we're Real Madrid and will be going out to win", insisted Llull.
Real Madrid face Fenerbahçe in Round 10 of the EuroLeague at the Ulkers Sport Arena (Thursday, 6.45pm CET) and speaking in the build-up to the clash, Pablo Laso had the following to say: "In the EuroLeague, all of the opponents are demanding, but this lot made the final last year, they're a team that have come on a lot over recent years and they've got some very good players".
"They're one of the top sides in Europe and all the more so on their own court, with the strong backing from their fans. There's a great atmosphere in the stands and they really get behind their team. We'll have to put in a good performance if we want to win there".
The importance of the game
"We haven't even reached the third-way point of the competition, there's still an awful long way to go and we know that every EuroLeague game is tough. This game isn't going to decide anything, but it's an important one. If we manage to win in Istanbul it would give us quite a cushion on the chasing pack, but we've just got to take things one game at a time. The teams are evenly matched and we're seeing that".
"We have to do our jobs. We must be really solid on rebounds and show ourselves to be capable of performing against their strong defense".
"It's important that our shooting is good because if our play doesn't flow, we'll struggle to win the game".
Llull: "We'll be going out to win"
"It's a really difficult court and they're really great team, but we're Real Madrid and we'll be going out to win. They had a fantastic season last year, they've kept the same core group of players and that's important for them. We go to a very difficult court, at which very few teams will win and we'll be trying to do just that. We're expecting a very tough and hard-fought game".
"When you play against them you can't just focus your attentions on one player. This season we've strengthened in the interior positions and Randolph, Hunter and Álex are contributing a lot, both in training and when they play. To win the game we'll have to try and be defensively strong across the board and play our game in offense".
