NEWS | 04/06/2014 | Javier GarcíaThe Argentinian finished the season as the best goal creator in both competitions.
A lot of players have stood out in the Real Madrid Champions League and Copa del Rey winning side. One of them is Di María. The Argentinian played his most consistent season for the Whites. One of the first names on Ancelotti's team-sheet, he has adapted perfectly to his new position on the pitch and has been fundamental in giving the team balance. Far from easing off in attack, he finished the season as the top assist maker in both La Liga and the Champions League.
In the domestic competition, Di María has set up 15 goals, two more than Cesc. Two of his assists came during matchday 38, when he laid up Morata on two occasions to secure a win against Espanyol in the Santiago Bernabéu. And in Europe, the Argentinian was also named as the top assist maker in the competition (5), beating the likes of Rooney, Oscar and Van der Wiel by one.
