Real Madrid won the title on 30 March 1969 after beating Zaragoza on matchday 27.
It was 55 years ago that Real Madrid won their 14th LaLiga title. Our team mathematically secured the title with three matchdays to go. The madridistas did so by beating Zaragoza at the Santiago Bernabéu (2-0) with goals from Grosso and Velázquez.
Miguel Muñoz's side finished LaLiga 1968/69 with 47 points, followed by Las Palmas with 38. The Pichichi Trophy that year went to Amancio and Gárate, both with 14 goals. Real Madrid went on a spectacular 27-game unbeaten run and lifted the title for the eighth time in nine years.
