Emiliano, with 24 points, and Luyk (19) stood out in that game. It was the sixth league title out of ten in a row, in what is to date the best championship streak in the history of LaLiga.
Real Madrid dominated the 1972-73 edition, winning all 30 games played and scoring 60 points, 8 more than second-placed Joventut. Their superiority was evident when they won the title in game 27. A legendary team that also won the Spanish Cup that season, with legends such as Emiliano, Luyk, Brabender, Cabrera, Corbalán and Rullán, among others.
