The Realmadrid and FC Barcelona Foundations have joined the initiative kickstarted by Obra Social "la Caixa" to fight hunger in the African continent: Juntos por Africa (Together for Africa). Real Madrid Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño represented the club in the presentation act, which was also attended by Carlos Rexach, Advisor to the President of FC Barcelona, and Obra Social "la Caixa" Executive Director Jaime Lanaspa. Real Madrid and Barcelona will supply exclusive material for a draw aimed at promoting citizen participation. Its proceeds will be destined to projects carried out in Africa by UNICEF, ACNUR and the FAO.
