The Realmadrid Foundation today signed a collaboration agreement with NGO Cruzada por los Niños providing for the creation of a social and sports academy in Massaca, Mozambique. Over 200 children will benefit from the project. The agreement was signed in the Press Room of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium with the attendance of Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño and Real Madrid football player Pepe.
Carlos Sousa, Mozambique Vice Minister of Youth and Sports; Enrique Sanchez, Executive Vice President of the Realmadrid Foundation; Emilio Butragueño; Manuel Bucuane 'Tico-Tico', President of the Escolinha do Tico Foundation; and Maria Diaz de la Cebosa, President and founder of Cruzada por los Niños, all participated in the event.
Spain's Ambassador to Mozambique, Eduardo Lopez Busquets; and Mozambique´s Ambassador to Spain, Fernanda E. Moises Lichale, were also in attendance.
Over 100 people were invited to to see how an agreement that will provide happiness to hundreds of Mozambique children was signed. Tico-Tico, who captained Mozambique´s national football team until 2010 and is known for playing in First Division European, African and US sides, will be project's Mozambique counterpart.
