Real Madrid completed their second training session this week in Valdebebas without the international players who have been called up by their national squads, in preparation for next Saturday's game against Seville at the Santiago Bernabéu. (10.00 pm CET, Canal + 1) José Mourinho organised a training session featuring the return of Pepe to group training following his arthroscopy on his ankle which he had on 2 January. The first team trained alongside the second reserve team coached by José Manuel Díaz, together with the Castilla player, José Rodríguez.
The session, which was held at Real Madrid City, started off with three training groups. The first one comprised the outfield players of the first team, who as well as Pepe welcomed Morata back - he was missing yesterday as he played on Monday for Castilla - beginning the session with an intense warm-up stage followed by physical training exercises and then touch and go practice on the ball.
Diego López, Adán and Jesús made up the second group, which went through a specific routine supervised by the goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro, with whom they trained both with and without the ball in one of the goals. In the third group, the Real Madrid C players and José Rodríguez started off with a warm-up then did two circuits of training with the football.
The three groups came together to round off the session with a short game between the first team plus the academy player Ángel against the second reserve team plus José Rodríguez. Jesús and Adán played in goal while Diego López continued training alongside Silvino Louro. José Mourinho followed all of the players' training closely.
